JCC NexGen Founders FAQs
Today’s youth and kids are the foundation of tomorrow for our Jain Samaj. JCC will be the place for worship and community involvement for our kids and their future kids. This campaign is aimed at giving our Next Generation a sense of belonging towards the JCC. Just like 529 financial instruments in the USA, where we secure our kids’ future for education, through this campaign we have a chance to offer a unique lifetime gift to kids that will help them walk on the righteous path and associate with the pious worship place.
Through the “JCC NexGen Founders” campaign, we are lowering the JCC “Naming Rights” to 11 square feet (i.e. 11 x $251 per square feet = $2,761) for a limited time i.e. from today to December 31, 2024. Only one kid’s name will be displayed per 11 square feet of donation. Kids must be 19 years or younger by December 31, 2024 to be eligible for the Naming Rights. Each kid living in the Greater Seattle area at the age of 19 will also earn JSS Life Time Membership. Kids at the age of 19 should send an email to jainsocietyofseattle@gmail.com with the personal details to get their name added to Life Membership.
No. There is no requirement for the kid to be residing in the Greater Seattle area right now. We can donate for our kins in India or elsewhere as well.
Yes. We will write the current name as “baby of X”. You will need to share the details with the JSS after the baby is born (jainsocietyofseattle@gmail.com or reach out to Mahipal at 425.532.6430 or Manish at 971.263.8225 or Pushkar at 682.252.8226).
Yes. You can always donate to JSS. Currently, we also have Mandir Nirman Fund Campaign open (https://jainsocietyofseattle.org/mandir-nirman-fund/), where one square feet donation is same at $251, and you can get “Naming Rights” by donating 21+ square feet. Yes. JSS accepts anonymous donations below $5,000 in a calendar year (as permitted by IRS law). Donor name (your name) is different from the display name (kid’s name). Displaying Name on JCC wall is the donor’s choice. JSS will always respect the donor’s wishes and can display “Anonymous” instead of the Name. A few of existing patrons donate anonymously even today.
Yes, you can donate any amount of square feet (1 square feet equals $251). However, for general naming rights, your donation should be 21+ square feet and under “JCC NexGen Founder (before 12/31/2024)”, your donation needs to be 11+ square feet.
Kids must be under 19 years of age by 12/31/2024.
Yes. For kids’ names to be displayed, pledge must be taken by 12/31/2024, and donations must be paid by 3/31/2025 (including corporate matching which is generally received 45-60 days after you donate to your payment administrator like Benevity).

108 is an auspicious number in Jainism. Hence, we wanted the total numbers of kid founders to be a multiple of 108. In the last year’s campaign, we made 108 JCC Founding Members as well. The JSS Board will be open to increasing the number of names in multiples of 108 (say 216, or 324) depending on the community’s interest as far as pledges are received within 2024.
All kids’ names donating 11 square feet and above will be displayed at the prominent wall in the JCC. The names of the kids will be displayed alphabetically and sorted by their age on 12/31/2024.
No. We recommend you to take double dharam labh by donating 11 square feet per kid.
No. At this time, pillar commitments are not transferable to the Mandir Nirman Square Feet Campaign or JCC NexGen Founders campaign.
No. This is a special campaign focused on kids titled “JCC NexGen Founders” under square feet Mandir Nirman Campaign.
